| Hardwood and
Laminate Floors
Whether it be hardwood
or laminate there is no bigger change to a room. When it comes
to adding character and warmth to your home then wood is the
way to go. Carpet, especially on a first floor will most
likely sooner than later need to be replaced. When the time
comes to replace your floors think about going with a wood
floor. You will get years and years of use while all the time
retaining the original beauty of the floor. They are much
easier to clean then carpet and will not need replacing every
5 to 10 years. Most flooring jobs can be done with short
disruption to your home. Many times homeowners cannot believe
the difference they make. You want to enjoy your home for life
so why not have a floor in which you can do the same.
Exotic Floors
Exotic Floors have much to offer. Exotics are beautiful floors
that people will be asking about. Some of the common Exotics
are Koa, Merbau, Kempass, and of course Bamboo. We have put
down a lot of hardwood in this category and we are pleased
with the quality of the manufacturing that goes into an
exotic. They tend to be very straight boards with little
damage out of the box and go down tight. For those that would
like to stick to a green material Bamboo is a great option
because it is renewable. There are many options in hardwoods
and exotics should not be overlooked
Standard Hardwood
Domestic hardwoods are great, they include oak, maple, and
pine to name a few. There are many manufacturers and products
available. The color choices are unlimited and the styles the
same. Something that has become popular is the hand scrapped
line. We have put down some of this style and they look
amazing. These hardwoods tend to hold up well over a lifetime
and also refinish with ease.
Laminate
Laminate floors are a good option if you are afraid your
children or your dog will be too tough on a hardwood. The
finish a laminate holds up well and doesn’t scratch that
easily. They tend to be cheaper than their hardwood
counterparts. This is also a great option for finished
basements.
