About Us
I’m John Kelly the owner of Kelly Remodeling. I
started out working summers in the remodeling business when I
was home from college back in the late 1970s. I attended
college at William & Mary receiving a bachelor’s degree in
business in 1980. I returned to central pa and married my wife
Mary in 1982 and we have three children. I worked in retail
from ‘81 to ’86 then went on to work in finance achieving a
series 7 broker’s license. I decided to leave the company in
1989 and start up my own handyman business. Originally I was
“Jake the Handyman.” Throughout the years I have remained in
the remodeling business and at this point continue to grow. My
son began working summers with me back when he was in high
school and has always shown interest in this industry. For the
last couple of years it has been him and I and we have
completed some beautiful projects. I am no longer in business
to do something just to say I did it. I remain in business
today to help my customers win and by doing so Kelly
Remodeling wins a little bit at a time. It is my goal to leave
the customer with work they will enjoy for years to come.
I’m Ryan Kelly and I have worked full time with my father for
a couple of years now. Throughout the years, I have always
been there over the summers or in my spare time learning all I
could. I graduated from Lower Dauphin High School in 2002. I
then went on to study Architectural Engineering at Drexel
University. I completed one year there, but then decided the
engineering part was not for me. I came back to Hummelstown
and married my wife, Aga, in 2003. I went on to study
Architectural Technology at Harrisburg Area Community College.
I am currently two classes away from completing the degree. I
have been fortunate to be surrounded by people that are highly
knowledgeable in the building industry. In architecture in
high school, Drexel, and HACC, I have had some great
instructors. I have strived to learn all the components of
residential construction and design. I design and draw all the
plans using AutoCad. I enjoy being able to bring to life the
customers’ vision in the form of 3D drawings and renderings.
My mission is to make sure the customer fully understands what
they are getting by providing them with accurate
visualizations.
